มาทำความรู้จักกับ Veeam Instance Licensing

          Veeam Instance Licensing เป็นการซื้อซอฟแวร์ Veeam แบบ Subscription รูปแบบใหม่ ช่วยให้ลูกค้าสามารถใช้ License ประเภทเดียวกันในงานทั้งหมด (Vmware, Hyper-V, Physical Server และ AWS) โดยการใช้งานจะคิดเป็นหน่วย Instance ซึ่งเราสามารถจัดสรรจำนวนต่างๆได้เอง

          โดยการซื้อแบบ Instance นั้น 1 License จะประกอบด้วย 10 Instance (ยกเว้นแบบ Essentials 1 License จะประกอบด้วย 5 Instance แต่ต้องซื้อตั้งแต่ 2 License ขึ้นไป) ซึ่งการคำนวณหน่วย Instance จะสามารถทำได้ดังนี้

         จำนวน Instance แต่ละประเภทจะขึ้นอยู่ประเภทการใช้งาน ตัวอย่างเช่น

ต้องการซื้อ Veeam Availability Suite Enterprise แบ่งเป็นใช้งาน VMware จำนวน 60VM และแบบ Server Agent จำนวน 2 Server

          วิธีการคำนวณ - Enterprise 1 Instance = 1 VM , 1.5 Instace = 1 Server Agent
                                    Instance = (50*1)+(2*1.5) = 53 Instance
          เพราะฉะนั้นจะต้องซื้อ Veeam Availability Suite Enterprise ทั้งหมด 6 License (60 Instance) โดยจะยังเหลืออีก 7 Instance ไว้สำหรับใช้งานอื่นๆในภายภาคหน้า
